This year's U of C Alumni Skate with Santa included face painting and crafts and even Mrs. Claus.
We ended up staying for the dinos basketball games too.

Stamps and horses
Kaya was super patient in the arena and decided to make a horse of her own to ride in the wood shavings.
We went to a Stamps game.
I painted my first watercolor of a street in France for Bille.
Miss Sonja and I went for a walk.

The happiest day of Kaya's life
The kids adopted Cookie and Fudge from the SPCA. Kaya says it is the happiest day of her life.
Patrick and I stayed up until midnight building a cage.
Cookie poses for a mug shot.
Fudge stares down the camera.

Partial solar eclipse
I love our little ravine and also Kaya's kite from school. Fill your heat with love. Be truthful. Don't steal. Be safe. Smile! Say "Please and thank you."
The kids filled stitch the homemade pumpkin with leaves.
The astronomers had set up a special viewing of the eclipse and I also read about how the shadows are semi-circles during a partial solar eclipse. Low and behold - it's true.
