Adlai does a good job of a life sized portrait.
We watch the horses jumping, learn amazing horse facts from the Uof C vet students, and talk to a cowboy about his horse who survived a cougar attack and has the scars to prove it.

Penguin walk
Adlai and I went to see the penguins go for a walk.
We also enjoyed watching the peacocks strut and call to one another.
Who knew that butterflies use gold ornamentation?
An atlas moth emerges.

Spring is in the air
A robin family built nests and laid eggs outside Adlai's preschool. They really are robin egg blue.

Drip drip drop
We went to visit family for the weekend and the kids had fun at the park.
Grandma Jan also surprised us by showing up and played drip drip drop in the backyard. The cloth was pretty wet and the kids squealed!

A walk in the woods
This is one of my most loved shots of the kids doing what they do.
They also found neat bright red mini bugs.
May flowers do happen.
A squirrel scolds us as we walk by.

Earliest camping trip ever
It was freakishly warm and so we decided on the spur of the moment to head out camping. On the way we passed my favourite tree.
We snagged prime spots in an empty campground that had just opened for the season.
The lake was very low since we had not had any rain but Patrick helped the kids cast their rods a few times.
Kona kept us company.
