Grandma Jan took us to the local splash park and we had a great time.

Moths on every bloom
Kaya and Adlai were fascinated by the dopey moths that hung out on almost every bloom.
Intent on each other, they did not mind being held at all.

Vancouver Space Center
The famous crab sculpture out front.
Adlai almost fits the spacesuit.
We touched the moon - which I thought was very cool.
Images of outer space.
The kids got a kick out of turning themselves into aliens. Here is Adlai alien.
Here is Kaya alien.

Granville Island and the beach
Jess played with the kids in the Kids Market while I took a yoga class at Semperviva.
We stopped for lunch and admired the desserts.
The mini-ferry was a hit with the kids.
Kaya and Adlai discover a mermaid in the sand.
And many other beach treasures.
We practice tree together.
Under the ferry dock.
The kids worked up a serious sweat in the play center.
After buying shrimp right from the boat, we watch the lilies.

Vancouver Acquarium
My favorite may have been the jellyfish tank with the deep blue and pulsing oranges of aquatic movement.
Adlai took in the colors of the undersea world.
I remember touching a beluga whale when I was a kid.
Joy when watching the penguins.
Remembering Hawaiian green sea turtles.
Hugs in the apartment.
Kaya's tooth is getting loose.
Adlai spent long stretches watching the cars and trucks and the traffic. My suburban children were amazed that cars keep driving all night long.
Verdant foliage - as evidenced by much rain and humidity.

Vancouver
The kids were awesome little travelers. We enjoyed the aerial view of the Rocky Mountains.
